Kricket
Well, I guess it is time for another post. It has been a difficult past couple of weeks, but we're doing all right. It's pretty hard still to talk about what we've been going through...so I guess I just won't right now. God's taking care of us though :)
I completed my first full week of work at the Dr.'s office last week. It is still kind of stressful and tiring, but I am starting to get used to it. I come home pretty worn out from being on my feet all day, but I think I'll get used to that too.
Our happy distraction lately has been: our new kitty, Kricket. (yes, we realize that 'cricket' is spelled with a 'C'...in general - but I couldn't resist the decision to spell it that way when she hopped on the computer and refused to take her paw off of the 'K' key - and as a tribute to my Dad, who AWAYS spells his pets' names oddly.) Anyway, last week I was on my way home when I saw a sign for free kittens and decided it couldn't hurt to look at them...heh. I saw the sweetest tiny little pure black kitten and decided I would be quite morose if I couldn't keep her. The owner said (after I expressed my concerns about what my husband would think) that I could bring her back if he didn't want her....and I'm afraid that was enough of an excuse for me to take her home to charm him herself. To my surprise, Dan was immediately taken with her and she's been entertaining us immensely ever since. She is very fond of "reading" the cover of my book while I read the inside, and climbing up to Dan's shoulder to lick his beard and hair (I don't get it). She is fond of a good many interesting habits, actually...She really is a highly amusing, extremely sweet kitten and she makes me happy :) The best part: She doesn't mind being regularly sponge-bathed! yay.
And I'm done for now. Dan has a soft-ball game tonight (double-header, actually), and I have laundry to do.

That's a adorable kitty you've got there. :-D
Also, just for fun, I'm playing blog tag, "tag, you're it." (Check my blog for the details)
Have a great weekend!
Hey that is a cute Kitty! Remember kitty will grow to be a cat one day and we hope she will be a good cat who doesn't do nasty things like tear up your furniture, eat the pages of your book or the cover for that matter, etc. Thanks for the post. Hope to see you soon.
